Welcome! The Golden Gate Clogging Company is a group of dancers who love to share the joy, energy, charm, and precision of clogging. Having danced for years under the guidance of the Barbary Coast Cloggers of San Francisco, we coalesced into our own performing group in 2005.

So, what is clogging? Clog dancing refers to clocked dancing, a percussive dance form that emphasizes the downbeat of the music through enthusiastic, high-energy, and intricately choreographed footwork. Clogging originated in the Appalachian as various cultures came together to share their traditional dances and, in so doing, created a new dance form. Learn more…
